WWW - Google SketchUp makes 3d making easy

  • Learn Google SketchUp

  • I've been lazy with the posts lately. Google is one of the reasons. Google offers new free and paid software that allows anyone to create satisfying 3d scenes with minimal effort. It ties in directly with Google earth when you want to put your building, park, or whatever you've built on the virtual globe. The tutorials are built directly into the scene and, as a result, are extremely easy to follow. The above image is a simulated version of my backyard I whipped together over several hours while learning the software. You can also upload your 3d creation to what they call the 3d warehouse. A repository of 3d models that you upload to or download from with just two clicks. This is great when you need to quickly put trees or cars into your scene. New content is being uploaded every day so a tree you could not find today might be there tomorrow. SketchUp was amazing software before google bought them and now its even cooler with all of the benefits Google brings to the plate. This software is well worth learning.
